JIMDO: A personal Testimonial...

If you're looking for a baby-simple WYSIWYG website building tool, JIMDO is it!  I've had my Jimdo website ( "Local Legend Films" ) for a little over two years now. I can honestly say that I've been truly pleased with how easy it's been to learn and use. If you're looking to put together a professional looking website ( -and dread facing the long "learning curve" ), search no further. Jimdo has you covered!  

The problem with me is that I HATE using computers. Period! So, when I came up with the idea for starting a new movie and sound production studio with a "twist" ( "Local Legend Films" is the "Antidote to Hollywood" movie studio ), the thought of designing a website to promote it was only slightly more alluring than going in for a dental check-up. Simply put, I dreaded it! 

And while I'd designed and run another website previously ( i.e: "American Synthesizer Magazine" -now inactive ), the struggles I went through with that endeavor made me even more apprehensive and doubtful that I'd find a good solution for this new venture. However, after spending a few days researching a number of competitors, I finally decided upon Jimdo. Luck-ily, it wasn't long before I knew I'd made a good decision. And I haven't had a second of doubt since then. Jimdo has been great! 

Like any new experience, it took me a few days to "get the feel" of the Jimdo web design interface. But it really wasn't that hard to master. By simply poking around and trying out different templates and tools, I soon got the hang of it. Before long I was zipping around designing my site like a pro. I couldn't believe how truly EASY and quick it was to use. Compared to my previous web design experiences ( -with those high priced compan- ies ), Jimdo's intuitive interface seemed "baby simple". Even a "computer illiterate" like me could do this! I was truly impressed.

What's more, I found that my writing skills actually IMPROVED by using Jimdo's neat text ( -and "photo + text boxes" ). They seemed to force me     to write more clearly and concisely. It actually made content writing FUN! Who would've known? I found that I could turn out clean, crisp copy ( -and make it look sharp, neat and readable ) by trimming it to fit those cool little text boxes. Especially the ones provided alongside of the "photo + text" boxes. I typically bolden the text in these boxes and use them as "bullet-point" paragraphs -to emphasize or give a different perspective to the main paragraphs. These "photo + text" boxes also make the pages look graphically appealing -like a professionally done magazine. Cool stuff! 

And as if that wasn't enough, I've now found there are a few new website tools that have been added. I haven't even had a chance to check these out! I'm really anxious to see what these do ( -especially the new "video" tool ). So, in terms of "ease of use" and "bang for your buck", I'd rate Jimdo as PHENOMONAL!  And by the way, in over two years I've only experienced one minor problem. It was resolved by Jimdo's crack support team within a day! With other web design firms I've used ( -and who charge a LOT more! ), I've had to wait several days to get issues resolved. And did I mention that I have a "FREE" JImdo website? Imagine what kind of support you'd get with a paid Jimdo website! 

So, in conclusion, I can only say that Jimdo has been a real Godsend         to me and "Local Legend Films". I get compliments on my site's "look" all the time. And that's pretty amazing because a "computer illiterate" built it! So, if you have better things to do with your time than waste it wrestling with expensive, complicated, time-consuming web design interfaces -make a beeline to Jimdo!
